Poison
This illustration was inspired by a Halloween prompt from Retro Supply Company. The character herself grew out of a face I drew on Day 6 of my 100 Days of Faces project (see image below). When I saw her again, I immediately imagined a story for her — a daring resistance fighter in occupied France, navigating danger with courage and cunning.
For this piece, I chose to work with just two colours, using one of them to convey a narrative of seduction and danger. The limited palette emphasizes mood and character, allowing the tension between allure and peril to take centre stage while maintaining a print-like, tactile quality reminiscent of traditional analogue processes.
