Welcome to my Weekly Creative Journal

I am starting this weekly journal as a place to share what I am working on, whatever that may be. Some weeks it might be a new tune or a song. Other weeks it could be a drawing, an illustration idea, photos I’ve taken, or a glimpse of somewhere I have travelled. Think of it as a creative check-in, or a small window into the things that inspire me, challenge me, or keep my hands busy.

Part of the reason I am doing this is accountability. I love creating music, art, photos, and coming up with ideas, but sometimes I need a push. Deadlines help. Having a space where I show up every week helps even more. My hope is that this journal keeps me moving, making, experimenting, and staying connected to the things that bring me joy.

I also want this to be an antidote to mindless scrolling that does me no good. Social media can lead me into comparison or into the endless loop of everything going wrong in the world. Creating, on the other hand, grounds me. It makes me happier. It gives me purpose. This journal is my way of choosing creativity over the noise.
