Riding for Maggie's
Update!
Thank you to everyone who donated! It ended up being a beautiful sunny day in Angus for our 70 mile ride. We raised £1505.00, which came out to be £1802.50 with gift aid for Maggie’s Centre Dundee.
I'll be riding with three amazing people: my friends Alison Carrie and Jimmy Thomson, and my father-in-law Doug Govan. I'm really looking forward to taking on the challenge together!
Ride the North isn't a charity event, but I've decided to use the ride to raise money for Maggie's Centre in Dundee.
I was first introduced to Maggie's when my mother-in-law Ali was receiving treatment at Ninewells Hospital. We popped into Maggie's for a cup of tea and a chat, and I was really impressed by the love, kindness and support they gave us.
Maggie's is such an amazing place. It gives people affected by cancer a safe and welcoming place to go, where they can find support, have a chat, and hopefully leave with a smile.
That's why I'm really happy to be raising money for Maggie's as I take on this challenge.
So on August 29th, starting from Glamis Castle, I’ll be riding around the hills and glens of Angus, eating some good food (lots of pastries!) and sharing lots of laughs with some wonderful people.
If you'd like to support me, I'd be incredibly grateful for any donation, big or small. Every bit of support will help Maggie's continue the amazing work they do for people affected by cancer.
Thank you!
